On the outside Trend Wealth looks just like another internet program. It’s like yeah yeah yeah another home based business that’ll make me rich. I got to say that this one will be no different because people are going to watch and never take action. Surprisingly enough those people are never going to be in a position to actually be successful from home. They’ll just say that they want to work from home and that’s it. The reason is because it is more comfortable to say things instead of actually doing them.

Trend Wealth will be just like all the other internet businesses, many people will join and many and many will fail. Before you go decide to close this window, read the entire review. What I mean is that a bunch of people will probably join and never be successful and here’s why. Most people join things because they are all excited to get started and many do decide to join but after they join they drop the ball or their sponsor does not provide the support necessary for them to succeed. The internet is full of different opportunities and many people fear the internet and thinks everything is a scam. People think everything is a scam because they were not able to be successful. Many people join these opportunities thinking that they will be successful and rich the very first time they do anything. If we would just stop for a second and just apply what we have learned from our past then we would not be surprise to learn that most people do not succeed the first time around. It’s like learning to ride a bicycle, nobody ever gets on the first time without training wheels and just start riding without falling. As important as it is to choose the “right” business/opportunity it is more important to choose a great mentor. Success at home is like doing everything else “it takes time and being consistent”.

I’ve gone through the whole course which is made up of 8 modules. I’ve broken down the review per module and explain the content within each video.  The whole aim of this course if to basically get you TRAFFIC! Now what they claim that this course will do is a number of key things:

• Get high quality traffic for VERY little money (less than 10 cents a click) while obtaining HIGH conversions.
• Simplify the setup – You can be a complete newbie and set up these campaigns after supposedly watching these videos.
• Eliminate and guesswork from the normal method of setting up paid traffic generation

Now those are some big statements to back up. Banner ads (also known as media buys) have been known to be quite expensive to start up (we’re talking about in the thousands of dollars) but these guys claim to get you up and running with basically less than $50. Is all this for real ??…Here’s what I discovered…

Banner Ad Blueprint Module 1-Getting Started . Here Phil goes over his thoughts on affiliate and internet marketing in general and explains the various differences between the numerous affiliate networks. He also gives his top picks as to which networks to join and also how to get accepted if you’re a newbie.

Banner Ad Blueprint Module 2- Market Research Part 1 This module goes over how to effectively carry out targeted market research. Phil does a great job giving numerous examples and also goes over how to find out which offers to promote.

Banner Ad Blueprint Module 3- Direct Linking vs. Landing Pages Phil goes over the differences between the 2 and gives great guidelines if you decide to go through the direct linking route. He also guides you as to when to use and when not to use each particular method. Again, he goes through various examples and breaks them down as to why the work and don’t work.

An explanation video of how to build solid content copy that converts well is also shown which is crucial for any site or landing page. 5 stars for this video !

Banner Ad Blueprint Module 4- Banner Masterization Phil teaches how to create high converting banners effectively. He starts of explaining WHY we should advertise using banners (good video but not really necessary as it’s a little redundant at this point in the course). The next video in this module goes over an in depth explanation of what high CTR banners MUST include and what NOT to include in a banner. He goes over his versions of ‘Ghetto Fabulous’ banners and his ‘Superstar Status’ banners and explains the differences between the two in terms of conversions and how to choose depending on the landing page.

Phil also goes through a step by step guide on how to create an effective ‘Ghetto Fabulous’ banner within a space of minutes! He also shows several places where to create ‘Superstar Status’ banners for dirt cheap prices. Finally, there’s a great little video which shows how to obtain FREE top quality banners !

Banner Ad Blueprint Module 5- Signing Up With Ad Networks This module is solely going over the ad networks that will display your banners. Phil explains which ones are the best to sign up with (although looks like he needs to catch up on his sleep….serious bags under the eyes!). This module has over 9 videos each one covering a specific network. I could write another 6 pages on this area but in a nutshell….very informative content!

Banner Ad Blueprint Module 6- Market Research Part 2: Demographics You’ll learn how to conduct a seriously detailed and targeted level research to make sure your banner ads are displays to the right people! Why waste clicks or impressions to people that don’t want to see your ads in the first place ? Phil goes through the top sites to use for your demographic research (the majority are FREE) and he also shows a site which is great for doing research on all your possible competing sites!

Banner Ad Blueprint Module 7- Setting Up Insertion Orders Here Phil goes over in detail about the specifics of your banners insertion order and goes over choosing start/end dates, positions and pricing rates for your campaigns. Also explained is how you can buy through the ‘middle man’ as well as going ‘direct’. Some very important points are covered in the second video for those choosing to go through the ‘direct’ method.

Banner Ad Blueprint Module 8 – Setting Up Adservers (Tracking) The final module which goes into detail on how to effectively track your campaigns through 3rd party servers as well as how to use subid tracking is crucial for every marketer to implement!

When I first came across this course, I actually thought to myself that it would be an ‘average’ course in media buying….after all, how risky can it get? I’ve been doing media buying the past year myself but these guys opened my eyes up to bunch of new strategies and tips which NEVER would’ve crossed my mind.

After going through Banner Ad Blueprint, I am seriously going to drastically reduce my adwords campaigns and put the accelerator down on banner ads. The success rate already from my first 4 campaigns has proven that it’s not a ‘theory’ course but one that really does work if implemented.

If I must critique this course, All I can say is that Phil sometimes has a tendency to be quite repetitive and ‘drone on’ in a few of the videos. He’s no Andy Jenkins but the content he provides is worth tenfold the price of the course!

This course not only covers ‘banners’ but also goes into step by step guides on PPV, and CPM strategies so as to maximize your results. I’m extremely impressed with the course to say the least and it’s a MUST HAVE for anyone who is making or wants to make a living in affiliate/CPA marketing.

While all of this certainly makes us feel a bit nostalgic, we’re also thinking ahead…and trying to help others do the same.  At the risk of sounding self-serving (at least we admit it), here are a few things that we think Internet marketers should strongly consider this year:

1.  Increase Links to Your Site – This is not always an easy task, but one that’s very important in Google’s eyes.  Do your best to increase the number of quality links (structured the right way from the right sites) coming to your site.

2.  Incorporate your Twitter Feed Into Your Site – If you’ve leaped into the social media realm, go ahead and display your tweets somewhere within your site.  It will help your site to stay fresh and build Twitter followers.  We did it on our page here…take a look to your right.

3.  Do Some Keyword Research – All of your search engine efforts won’t get you anywhere if you’re targeting the wrong words to begin with.  Consider performing historical (think the past 90 days) keyword research to find out what phrases your customers are actually using.  Just going with your hunch can send you pretty far down the wrong path.

4.  Configure Performance Goals in Google Analytics – Most have Google Analytics installed, but few have taken the time to configure behavioural goals and monitor site performance.  This can be a silver bullet for some sites.  Time invested in truly configuring this product can we time well spent.

5.  Use bit.ly to Monitor Link Performance – Many of us are in the good habit of creating and publicizing shortened links for others to consume.  Take a moment to create a bit.ly account in order to monitor the performance of these links and learn what content and headlines are generating interest and activity.

6.  Develop and Utilize Your Email Messaging Capability – This would have made the list in 1995 but still remains untapped.  People are attached to their email–literally.  But this connection remains untapped by marketers.  Start developing that connection.  What’s the catch?  You have to make the messaging about them — not you.  Sadly, that’s not the nature of most email strategies.

7.  Create a Social Media Policy – Simply ignoring Twitter and Facebook and dismissing them as ‘time wasters’ no longer flies.  In fact, it hasn’t flown for a while.  Intel has a good policy to look at as a blueprint.  Remember, social communication is going to happen with or without you.  If you don’t formalize your stance, you may be missing important opportunities and asking for trouble.

8.  Explore the App Economy for Opportunity – BusinessWeek recently published a cover story on the App Economy, the exploding area of iPhone, Blackberry, and Facebook applications.  Like any gold rush, there is a frenzy to create the next big thing.  For many companies, though, there are real and practical opportunities.  Take some time to consider whether having an app would represent real opportunity for your business or organization.

9.  Create a Wiki To Foster Collaboration – Wikis have been around for some time (i.e. Wikipedia), but many traditional companies have begun to embrace the opportunities.  While the name is funny, the opportunities for communication and collaboration are serious.  To learn more, explore O’Reilly Media’s description as a starting point.

10.  Invest in Yourself – Warren Buffett has said that the best investment we can make is in ourselves.  Consider resolving to regularly reading and learning more about the Internet marketing realm.  Good Web sites to consider reading regularly are Seth Godin’s Blog, ReadWriteWeb, and Mashable.
